An overview of KNC Token:

Kyber Network is a liquidity protocol hub that gathers liquidity from many sources in order to facilitate secure and quick transactions on any decentralized application (DApp). The primary purpose of Kyber Network is to give simple access to liquidity pools that offer the best prices to DeFi DApps, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and other users.

All Kyber transactions are on-chain, which means they can be readily validated with any Ethereum block explorer. Projects may build on top of Kyber to take use of all of the protocol’s functions, such as rapid token settlement, liquidity aggregation, and a customized business model. Kyber aims to tackle the liquidity problem in the decentralized finance (DeFi) market by allowing developers to construct goods and services without worrying about liquidity for various purposes.

The Kyber Network Crystal (KNC) token is a utility token that serves as the “glue” that unites the many stakeholders in Kyber’s ecosystem. Holders of KNC tokens can stake them in the KyberDAO to help administer the platform and vote on significant proposals —- and receive staking rewards in Ethereum (ETH) derived from trading fees.

Kyber Network was founded in 2017 and is based on the Ethereum blockchain. Loi Luu, Victor Tran, and Yaron Velner established the project, which is headquartered in Singapore.

Founder of KNC:

Loi Luu is a blockchain researcher who also serves as an advisor for several blockchain startups. He co-founded SmartPool, the first open-source security analysis for Ethereum smart contracts, and created Oyente, the first open-source security analyzer for one of the top 5 cryptocurrency in India, Ethereum smart contracts. Victor Tran is a senior backend developer who also works as a Linux system administrator. He formerly worked as the CTO of Clixy and 24/7 Digital Group, as well as a developer on various projects in Vietnam. Yaron Velner, a postdoctoral researcher, is the current CEO of B.Protocol, a decentralized backup liquidity protocol. Velner left his post as CTO at Kyber in October 2019, however he remains an adviser. The Kyber team also includes a number of executive consultants, engineers, and designers. According to the Kyber Network LinkedIn profile, the firm employs around 50 people, the majority of whom are based in Vietnam or Singapore.
